Sou só eu ou o mundo está girando de uma forma bem retrô? Eu tô é amando...
Vamos lá: Até 2007 o que a gente ouvia de cantoras na rádio eram Britney, Aguilera, Shakira entre outras. Não menosprezando estas (gosto é que nem c...) mas eu sentia uma falta de ouvir vozes mais poderosas ou até suaves, porem com um som menos pop "puts puts", coisa além garotas que sairam do Clube Disney ou Devassa style.
Aí chega Amy Winehouse e Lily Allen. Ambas de estilos bem diferentes mas com um toque "antique" porém não antiquado, desde a música em si até no figurino.
A lista não parou por aí.

Duffy, Adele, Florence and the Machine, Kate Nash,Beth Ditto,She & Him, Regina Spektor, Feist e por aí vai... e não é que até Christina aderiu ao movimento retrô? daquele jeito dela mas...

Inclusive reality shows investiram na onda: X-Factor 2011 tem uma menininha de 14 anos chamada Rachel Crow que... vejam e ouçam por vocês mesmos: Rachels performance
Para mim é como se Motown e Nancy Sinatra encontrassem os anos 2000 e tralalá.
Mas agora não são somente as cantoras solos influenciadas pelo movimento retrô. Bandas inteiras e novas formações de trio de cantoras tem um toque de Nancy Sinatra tambem.
A maioria das letras tem um quê de movimento Girl Power, como as letras das Supremes, a própria Nancy, Martha and The Vandellas, Aretha... e são um tanto quanto irônicas.
Pois é... o movimento retrô não promete terminar tão cedo.
Seja no pop, no folk, no rock alternativo, tá tudo dominado!

Is it just me or the world is spinning in a retro way? I am loving it...
Ok, lets check: Back until 2007 what you would listen if you turned the radio on would be only Britney, Aguilera, Shakira, etc..not underestimating them, but I surely missed some powerful voices or even soft ones, but less mainstream pop, something beyond The Disney Club or whore style (sorry...).
Then, news from London: Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen. Both with different styles but with an "antique" touch, and not old fashioned in a bad way, from the music itself to the wardrobe.
But the retro movement didn´t stop there.
They opened up the door and...
Duffy, Adele, Florence and the Machine, Kate Nash,Beth Ditto,She & Him, Regina Spektor, Feist and so on... even Christina joined the movement, in her way of course... Candyman

For me it is like the Motown + Nancy Sinatra meets the lates 2000.
But now not only the female solo singers were influenced by it but also trios and whole bands are formed in a retro way and mostly... with a Nancy Sinatra touch.
Most of the lyrics have a Girl Power influence, like the old songs from The Supremes, Nancy herself, Martha and The Vandellas, Aretha and so on... and are very much ironic indeed.
Yeah, this Retro Girl Power Movement won´t stop very soon.
My personal list is above, not necessarily in that order.
Being it in pop, alternative rock or even folk, the girls got it all!
And I´ll keep loving it!
